They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just adjust easily.
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a minimalist version would also be smart.

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
How comfy are they?
Very comfy, and only took a few hours to break in.

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid.
